Keith is excited to work with DebateDrills as a Tutoring Instructor. He is also a coach with the Minnesota Urban Debate League. From 2015-2024 he coached for Wayzata High School, and was an Assistant Speech and Debate Coach at Ohio University (OH) from 2014-2015 Keith was also the Director of Forensics at North Dakota State University (ND) from 2012-2014.
Keith has helped hundreds of entries qualify for various national tournaments, with over 120 entries making it to elimination rounds, with 14 of those winning national titles. During his competitor days he competed in Speech and Debate at North Dakota State University (ND) from 2009-2012 and St. Michael Albertville High School (MN) from 2005-2007. When he competed at the collegiate level he qualified over 20 events to nationals, placing in elimination rounds eight times.
For Keith, the core of debate is an opportunity to come together as a community, meet new people, make new friendships, and grow as speakers and advocates. His goal as a coach has always been to help students find what they are passionate about and to develop confidence in their ideas and their voice in order to help them advocate for their beliefs and for themselves and others.
