Ava Vargason is a Human Resources Consultant with DebateDrills. She has a decade of experience with collegiate and high school debate as a competitor, coach, judge and non-profit leader. After joining the Board of Directors of the Women's Debate Institute in 2015, she developed an evidence-based Anti-Harassment Training program for debate organizations and has facilitated trainings for summer camps, private teams, and Urban Debate Leagues. She holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
