"DebateDrills is a debate company like no other. Not only does it carry a forward-looking view of debate, providing cutting-edge instruction from seasoned instructors, it also strives to provide an A-grade work culture where employees heard, valued, and respected. At a time where many debate-related and education services companies are coming under heat for poor interpersonal practices, DebateDrills sets itself apart as a young but emerging leader in the industry."

Our club teams, online camps, and classes all provide regular group instruction to registered students in the form of online practices, online seminars, online practice rounds and online office hours. We design the learning material needed and compensate coaches for any time they spend on creating curriculum.

You must be available on weekends and weekday evenings. We cannot guarantee you class time hours but will work diligently to integrate you into our group activities if you are a good fit. You do not have to run group classes exclusively with us but we have a strong preference for coaches who are willing to maintain some level of exclusivity with our student body for the duration of the competitive season.

This role is designed for coaches that excel at conducting research and producing high-quality evidence that can be read in competitive debate rounds. We regularly hire researchers to produce high-quality evidence on topics released by the National Speech and Debate Association. We are mostly focused on Lincoln-Douglas debate and Public Forum debate, but occasionally have research needs for other debate events.

Your job as a researcher is to efficiently produce preparation that our students can use in competitive rounds. This entails:

  • Producing readable evidence that is appropriately formatted and cited
  • Answering questions students have via written correspondence about the research you produced
  • Conducting thorough and exhaustive literature reviews of requested topics and producing best-in-class evidence that is recent and will stand scrutiny in high-level rounds

This role is 100% remote and done at your own time / pace. We screen coaches based on past examples of research produced and references.

This role is designed for coaches that want to produce free resources for the debate community. Coaches have opportunities to produce the following types of content for publication on our free-learning academy, blog, and youtube channel:

Competitive applicants should have a proven track record of producing free resources for the speech and debate community.
